BEACH
A true surprise is the beach of Ao Khai, just 2 kilometers from Mae Pim. Away from the main tourism and the main road of Mae Pim we found a small bay with fine pearly sand, blue water and palm trees. It is one of the nicer bays on the mainland of the Eastern Seaboard. We listed Ao Khai as one of our social beaches.
WHERE TO STAY
Directly on this beach are 2 stays. The resort Centara Q Resort Rayong consists of 2 buildings. The main building, which is located 100 meters from the beach, and a beautifully designed annex building with luxurious poolside rooms near the beach.
A good alternative are the mid-range bungalows and rooms of Ban Suan Ao Khai, located directly on the beach in a green setting. Two alternative stays are 200 meters from the beach.
On the lively beach you will find a number of restaurants, and in busier Mae Pim, 2 kilometers away, you will find plenty of alternative dining options.
