BEACH
Ao Noi is located 7 kilometers north of Prachuap Khiri Khan. It is an intimate bay with almost no tourists and a good stretch of sand. Here, you can enjoy the sea with good swimming conditions and explore the hinterland.
In the southern part of the bay there is a fishing village. From the beach you can see the fishing boats sailing out of the harbor, which is truly a picturesque sight. Due to the presence of fishermen, the beach and the sea are less clean compared to the other bays, but the hotels try to keep the beach clean. On the north side of the bay, just a 200-meter walk along the beach, is a monastery that is well worth a visit. Besides the monastery there is a small mountain with caves which you can explore.
WHERE TO STAY
The basic stay Aow Noi Seaview is located directly on the beach and offers 10 rooms surrounded by a private garden. Next to this stay is the brand-new mid-range Joy Hotel, which just opened in 2019 offering rooms in a 4-floor building. The Chill Villa & Cafe is located right next to the monastery, and only a 3-minute walk from the beach. This stay only has a few rooms and a small pool.
The Aow Noi Seaview offers a simple breakfast of toast and coffee and tea. However, the stay does not serve lunch or dinner. Joy Hotel and The Chill Villa & Cafe have a restaurant. About half a kilometer away, in the small village, you will find several food stands. In town (7 kilometers away) there are a variety of places to eat, of which we really like the night market.
