BEACH
Ao Pai is a beautiful nature beach in the southern bay of Ko Mak, with a small stretch of sand surrounded by trees and stylish bungalows. Unfortunately, this is not the best beach for swimming, however, there are no sand fleas which is a major advantage for us on Ko Mak.
On this beach swimming pool is a must because at low tide the beach turns into a bizarre rock formation, and even at high tide it’s not the best place to swim. You can however swim at high tide if you bring water shoes.
WHERE TO STAY
If you prefer a more relaxed and luxurious stay in a natural environment, we recommend heading to Plub Pla Resort. The bungalows are located in a beautiful area and are connected by wooden walkways, which makes it a great place to stay, especially if you book one of their online deals. The pool is also one of the best on the island.
The resort is located 4 kilometers away from the busier beaches and other restaurants.
