Bang Son, Chumphon

BEACH
Bang Son is a bay just south of the airport of Chumphon. The quiet, long, curved bay has fine camel-colored sand. The sea is often calm, and you can enjoy the colorful fishing boats passing by. The beach is oriented to the southeast so you can enjoy the sun until late in the afternoon.

The beach is suitable for children and the water is shallow for a long time, especially at low tide. Because the Bang Son River flows into this bay, the water can be cloudy, and therefore not good for snorkeling. Besides the few hotels, there is little development. We recommend this beach mainly for people who like peace and nature. The bay is located just over 30 kilometers north of Chumphon city.

WHERE TO STAY
You will find a few stays at this beach. We fell in love with , but we can also recommend the Sara Boutique Hotel. Both are well designed and decorated boutique hotels in the more upper segment. If you are traveling on a budget, Nouna Resort is a good alternative. The Kanhale Mance Beach is a budget stay next to Santi Beach Retreat.

At Sara Boutique Hotel they rent scooters and bicycles for guests only. All stays have a restaurant, and in the nearby village there are some food stands. Lastly, it is 20 kilometers to the restaurants at Thung Wua Laen.
