Quiet Beach, Chumphon

BEACH
Quiet Beach is the place to stay near Chumphon if you like solitary beaches and are looking to enjoy the true Thai daily life. A bay with palm trees, fine sand and good swimming conditions. The beach faces south, which is quite special for Upper Gulf, and you have a beautiful view over Ko Thonglang.

This beach is one kilometer from the entrance of the Muko Chumphon National Park and just 2,5 kilometers from the Lomprayah Pier for the ferry to Ko Tao.

WHERE TO STAY
At Quiet Beach you will only find simple accommodations run by local owners. Tonglang Resort offers basic bamboo bungalows with shared bathrooms or 3 concrete bungalows with individual bathrooms. In the garden an entire house can be rented for up to 10 people. Two charming Thai women who speak little English own the place. Lastly, you can enjoy fishing at night. A boat for up to 10 people will cost 2000 baht.

Next door is the Chaailay Resort, with well-decorated simple wooden bungalows in a garden full of palm trees. Here, they unfortunately don’t speak English. You can eat at both places, but you have to order meals in advance. Alternatively, it is 2,5 kilometers to the restaurants at the pier or 8 kilometers to the other stays and restaurants at Sarai Beach.
