BEACH
We consider Mae Lae as the best beach to spend your time on Ko Tarutao. Although it lacks the powdery sands of Pante Malacca, the secluded bay is breathtaking, and the tents are close to the beach. The beach is a good spot for sunbathing and watching monkeys.
This intimate bay with calm water is perfect for a nice swim. The beach is ideal for nature lovers, it is even possible to grab a mountain bike and go for a nice ride! The beach is 4 kilometers from the main beach. To get there you have to climb a hill by pickup truck or, for the sports enthusiasts, by mountain bike. The latter is a fun workout.
WHERE TO STAY
Unfortunately, after Corona the bungalows are no longer in good condition and can no longer be rented. Luckily, camping is still possible. You can rent a tent, thin mattresses and sleeping bags. There are toilet facilities and the restaurant here serves food at fixed times.
